Hi I’m
Joel Webb
Joel Webb is an Ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church and lives in Port Huron, MI where he works both as the pastor of Croswell Free Methodist Church, and as the Director of Operations for Spero Pregnancy Center. He is currently attending Asbury Theological Seminary (ATS) pursuing his Master’s in Theological Studies (Anglican Studies Concentration)
Joel grew up in a pastor’s home in south-eastern Ontario where even from an early age he felt a call to being in the ministry. After a couple wayward years just after high school, he found himself in Cameroon, West Africa on the mission field for a year. It was there that God miraculously pulled Joel back towards his calling. After coming back to the US and studying at a small ministerial school in Western New York, he settled in Michigan with family to work and serve at a local church. Moving on from there a few years later, Joel became a part of the community in Port Huron where he now resides with his wife Marissa. He then answered the call to become pastor of Croswell FMC in early 2025. Joel & Marissa recently became parents with the birth of their son, Frederick.
Joel has a deep love for the study of theology and history. His desire is for believers to encounter God in both worship and in the study of Scripture. While there seems to be great polarization in much of the Church and the world, he seeks to not just remain grounded firmly in classic Christian orthodoxy, but to also have a posture of love that would impact people for the Kingdom of God.
Joel serves as co-Chair of the Free Methodist Liturgical Network which seeks to to retrieve our rich evangelical-sacramental inheritance, renew our communal life through intentional liturgical formation, and revive the church as a Spirit-fueled movement dedicated to transforming the world.

My Areas of Interest
Theology
The knowledge of God above all changes how we interact with the world. Are we in line with the classical Christian consensus of the Church through history from the Apostles to today?
Discipleship
How do we as Christians become more mature in our walk with Christ is every part of our lives that makes an impact in the world around us.
Technology
Technology is always advancing, helping us surmount the next mountain and challenge. It is a wonderful thing that also has unintended consequences that we must be aware of.
History
History doesn’t repeat, but it sure does rhyme. The past is a reflection of our present, and by understanding it we can navigate the challenges we face today.
Worldview
How we see the world influences everything we do. Do we see the world through a Christian lens, or how impacted are we by secular materialism in our day to day lives?
Liturgy
The historical practices of the Church are not just beautiful, but rich in the formational truth found in Scripture. As we rediscover “the work of the people”, our common trek to transformation will be empowered.
